Marissa Elkins
Marissa Elkins joined our firm in August of 2009. She focuses her practice on criminal law, civil litigation, and personal injury.
Experience:
Prior to joining the firm, Marissa worked for the Committee for Public Counsel Services, defending the indigent accused in the District and Superior Courts of Hampshire and Franklin County. While at CPCS, Marissa handled all manners of criminal cases, from misdemeanors to major felonies. She has litigated Motions to Suppress, evidentiary hearings, and jury and bench trials.
In law school, Marissa and her moot court competition partner were named champions of the the school's annual Loiselle Moot Court Competition and she was named Best Oral Advocate at the Whittier Law School National Juvenile Law Moot Court Competition. Marissa also served as Senior Articles Editor of the Connecticut Public Interest Law Journal and as President of UConn's Lambda Law Association. Following law school, Marissa clerked for the Honorable Joan G. Margolis, United States Magistrate Judge, Federal District of Connecticut, New Haven.

Marissa is admitted to both the Massachusetts and Texas state bars and the Federal District Court of Massachusetts.

Aside from her career in the law, Ms. Elkins is involved in Valley's theater community. She has been involved in numerous productions by Old Deerfield Productions as well as producing and directing her own projects
