 Frederic has been a partner at Allison, Angier & Bartmon, LLP for 15 years.   He focuses his practice on criminal defense including representation in related college and high school disciplinary proceedings, post trial matters in all appellate courts, representation in SDP and SORB matters and representation during pre-charging investigations being conducted by the police, District Attorney and other agencies.

Through his work during nine years as a prosecutor and sixteen years in private practice, Attorney Bartmon has tried to conclusion more than 100 jury cases, including major felonies in Superior Courts in several counties. He has also been second-chair trial counsel for several first degree murder trials.

.Fred is the recipient of the 2010 Thurgood Marshall Award, given by the Committee for Public Counsel Services to “honor a person who champions the cause of zealous representation for the poor, and the right to effective assistance of counsel for all”.

 

Experience:

Prior to joining Allison, Angier & Bartmon, LLP, Frederic was an Assistant District Attorney for the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office.  From 1982 to 1985, Frederic was a staff attorney for the Board of Bar Overseers.

Frederic is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar.
